This seminar is designed to promote an introductory understanding of research methods employed in the social sciences. The course provides an overview of the major modes of inquiry. The modes of inquiry to be addressed include but are not limited to experimental, quasi-experimental, correlational, descriptive, and qualitative designs. As service providers to individuals with disabilities, professionals must have a basic understanding of research methods and be able to independently interpret data-based solutions to questions important for implementing effective programs.
